DBY-Devil Beside You....Another Taiwanese Drama starring Mike He & Rainie Yang.....currently watching episode 4....can't wait to watch nxt epi...still downloading from youtube....:P Its FREE!!! wakakakakakka....so far..kind of like this drama. To put it simply, I can relate it to "Meteor Garden". Nice girl meets naughty boy and gets bullied by him; the naughty boy then falls for the girl and the girl falls for him too! The naughty boy's fiancée appears; a strong love opponent starts wooing the girl...But somehow the plot is somehow more refreshing in "Devil Beside You" than in "Meteor Garden". In "Meteor Garden", it focuses on the strain between the very rich & the very poor, how the couple goes against all odds to be together. In "Devil Beside You", it is the sister-brother relationship that keeps you wondering if they are going to work out.....huhuh...:-)
SUMMARY :- Qi Yue (Rainie Yang) is a college student in her second year. She has a major crush on the basketball team's captain, Shang Yuan Yi (Kingone Wang) so decides to write a love letter. Pursuading herself to write the letter and confess her feeling for Yuan Yi, Qi Yue seeks great confidence in the task. She finally got to write the letter, and, clumsily enough, she didn't see Yuan Yi pass by... and hands the love letter to the school's bully (Mike He). Jiang Meng, the school's devestator, being called Ahmon or Ah Meng from his friends, is a freshmen also. He smiles devilishly at Qi Yue, as she realizes she was confessing her love to the wrong person. She, in shock, drops the letter carelessly and runs away. Qi Yue hears from her best friends that Ahmon is the school president's son. Being rich and powerful, Ahmon and his friends bully other people for amusement. Realizing Qi Yue dropped the letter, she walks around school to find it, and runs into Ahmon. Realizing Ahmon had picked up the letter, she listens hopelessly as he reads "To: Yuan Yi, From: Qi Yue." Ahmon threatens to print one thousand copies and spread them around the school if Qi Yue would not be his slave. Tired and helpless, she is forced to pursue Ahmon's current and future desires.
Qi Yue begins to feel total hatred of Ahmon, only looking and beleiving his negative sides, but soon realizes he put positive things the right way- and she just looked at it wrong. Qi Yue begins to like Ahmon, and in return his only desire was to have her. The only problem was that Qi Yue's mother was going to marry Ahmon's father, but Ahmon and Qi Yue keep their step-brother step-sister relationship secret from their mother and father.
